Proud to Contribute to the Tallest Skyscraper in Canada
Project Overview
The One is a supertall skyscraper currently under construction in downtown Toronto. Upon completion, it will be the tallest building in Canada and the first Canadian tower to exceed 300 meters (1,014 ft), as defined by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. This iconic development is set to redefine the city’s skyline and establish a new benchmark in Canadian high-rise construction.
Customer: AlumaSafway
Segment: Super high-rise mixed-use
Status: Completed
Challenge
Constructing a supertall tower in a dense urban environment like Toronto presents significant logistical and engineering challenges. The project required a vertical access solution capable of handling extreme height, high transport volumes, and continuous operation, all while maintaining the highest safety standards.
RAXTAR Solution
To meet these demands, RAXTAR provided a total of 4 RX3245SF hoists to our valued partner AlumaSafway. These customized rack and pinion hoists were specifically designed for this project and feature:
Cabin length: 6.70 meters (22 ft)
High payload capacity and speed
Robust construction for long-term deployment
Advanced RX Control System for real-time monitoring and operational efficiency
This configuration ensures safe, reliable, and efficient vertical transport of both passengers and materials throughout the build.
Outcome
The RX3245SF hoists are playing a key role in the construction of The One by:
↗ Supporting uninterrupted progress on-site
↗ Enhancing logistical efficiency
↗ Delivering high-capacity transport in a supertall environment
