Project Overview
The Orato Building is a 69-meter-high residential tower located in Amsterdam, developed by DCV Bouw B.V. The project adds modern housing capacity to the city’s growing skyline and reflects a broader trend of vertical urban living in the Netherlands. Challenge
The construction of a mid-rise tower in a dense urban environment required a compact and reliable hoisting system that could operate efficiently within limited space. The system needed to support the transport of both personnel and materials, while maintaining high uptime and integrating seamlessly with the construction schedule.

RAXTAR Solution
RAXTAR delivered a twin-hoist configuration from the RX SMART Series

These hoists were chosen for their modular design, quiet operation, and advanced control systems. The RX SMART Series is specifically engineered for mid-rise construction, offering a balance of performance, safety, and ease of use. The twin configuration allows for simultaneous up-and-down movement, improving site logistics and reducing wait times.

Outcome
The RAXTAR hoisting solution has enabled DCV Bouw to maintain a steady construction pace while ensuring safe and efficient vertical access. The Orato Building marks the beginning of a promising partnership between RAXTAR and DCV Bouw, with the RX SMART Series proving to be an ideal fit for mid-rise residential developments.
