In the business district of La Défense in Paris, Tour Alto rises 160 meters above the skyline as a modern and sustainable office development. To support construction at this height, the project marked the first deployment of the RAXTAR Common Tower in France. Designed to maximize the transport of people and materials while minimizing footprint, the RX Common Tower provided an efficient vertical access solution within the dense urban environment of La Défense.

Challenge

Constructing a 160-meter tower in the heart of La Défense required a vertical access system capable of handling high volumes of personnel and material transport while occupying minimal ground space. The dense business district imposed strict logistical constraints, demanding a compact yet high-capacity solution that could integrate seamlessly with the building structure and maintain reliable performance throughout the construction phase.

RAXTAR Solution

RAXTAR delivered the first RX Common Tower installed in France. The system was specifically developed to:

• Reduce required space for façade access
• Provide a stable and efficient shared tower configuration

The Common Tower concept allows multiple hoists to operate from a single tower structure, optimizing site logistics while maintaining high safety and performance standards.

The RX Common Tower proved to be an ideal solution for high-rise construction in dense urban areas. By combining high transport efficiency with a reduced footprint, RAXTAR supported smooth construction progress on one of La Défense’s most recognizable towers.
